MA FILLE
2016 ROSÉ, SONOMA COUNTY
400 CASES
The 2016 Ma Fille is a saignée of Pinot Noir (eighty-five percent), Syrah (ten percent), and Grenache (five percent). The individual lots were fermented in mostly stainless steel vessels with a dollop of my oldest oak barrels. As it should be, the 2016 Ma Fille Rosé is fresh, bright, and easy to drink. Enjoy!
MY NOTES
Enticing and elegant, the 2016 Ma Fille displays a bright salmon pink color in the glass. Its bright aromatics of strawberry, watermelon, and pink grapefruit meld with an electric acidity. The mid-palate highlights a core of cherry pits, salt-water taffy, and pomegranate accents. The Ma Fille finishes with zesty hints of passionfruit, cranberry, and rose water.
